Nightingale Tune is fresh off a one and a half year cruise of the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

She is chock full of upgrades and meticulously kept, making her one of the best tended Whitby 42s on the market today. She has just returned from cruising off the grid (April 2017) and is all set up and ready to leave the dock with her next crew. Fantastic for style, comfort, cruising capability, handling and located in a major Caribbean city – San Juan is an ideal spot for jumping off to the Spanish Virgin Islands, USVI, BVI, and beyond (or enjoy a lovely downwind passage to DR, Turks & Caicos, and the Bahamas)  – she’s the ideal boat for living and traveling aboard.

Accommodations

Nightingale Tune has a large V-berth in the forward cabin with a hanging locker and 4 storage bins above the berth. There are 2 opening, Lewmar overhead hatches. The forward head is adjacent to the forward cabin and has two doors leading to the salon and the forward cabin. This head has a Jabsco manual pump head.

Next aft is the main salon. The salon has a murphy table and an L-

shaped settee to the port side. On starboard there is a long settee. Both settees pull out to accommodate sleeping guests. There is a Lewmar hatch overhead. There is ample storage, including a lighted bar for liquor storage, and tons more storage behind and under cushions in the salon area.

The nav station is located aft of the salon on the starboard side of the companionway. The U-shaped galley is to port of the companionway steps. Walking through the walk-thru on the starboard side, you come to the master stateroom with a large hanging locker, Lewmar hatch, and en suite head. The master features a large berth with a custom mattress and ample storage. The master stateroom has its own companionway and steps leading to the center cockpit.

The walk-thru has two removable doors for engine room access, and the engine room may also be accessed via the lazarette. The boat is air conditioned by a salon unit on AC power, and has great natural ventilation from numerous opening portlights, four Lewmar hatches (including one directly over the aft sleeping berth – a big plus), and two companionways.

Whitby/Brewer owners enjoy the additional benefit of an active and supportive online owners group – a real asset for comparing notes and seeking advice. The group meets once a year for a three day summit in Annapolis, MD.
