With a big ‘ol cold front and a huge north swell rolling into the Virgin Islands, we saw no reason to leave the protected south coast, which has won our hearts as our new favorite part of St. John.
As Selah and Kairos moved on to meet up with friends in the BVI and Culebra respectively, we finally got our much-anticipated reunion with Pete and Mary on Neko. And, in spite of some really crappy weather for a couple days, we managed to have a great time, enjoying Hansen Bay, Coral Bay, Lameshur Bay, and Christmas Cove together.
We finished up the week with champagne and pizza delivery (delivered by dinghy from the pizza boat, of course!) in Christmas Cove before parting ways. Neko has departed for the Spanish Virgins, while we hang here in St. John, waiting for the pup’s next appointment with a vet in St. Thomas. We’re already looking forward to seeing them again in Puerto Rico.

Cole and Brian watch the sail luff as we head out of Hansen Bay. Cole is looking handsome (and safe!) in his spiffy new float coat.
