Anchored off the private island of Petit St. Vincent, we saw something unusual in the distance. Out on the horizon, a little thatch hut was poking up through waves. We consulted our charts and learned that the hut stands on a tiny spit of sand called Mopion Island. Sometimes it is there, other times, it has been completely washed away by the sea.
One sunny afternoon we grabbed our buds from s/vs Viadorra and Moorahme and hopped in the dinghy to check it out.
It will stand out as one of the best days we’ve had yet . Mopion Island is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. And we had it all to ourselves for the entire day.
I think the photos speak for themselves.
